This position is entirely remote, providing flexibility while contributing to a critical support system for students. The role is structured around standard operating hours, alongside occasional requirements for evening shifts and rotating weekend involvement, to ensure adequate coverage, particularly during times of heightened demand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, taking into account their backgrounds, presenting issues, and unique risk factors, to create tailored care strategies.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in partnership with students and their families, addressing mental health concerns, fostering emotional resilience, and promoting academic engagement.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Focused Therapy, to address a range of mental health issues.
  • Lead individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on building coping skills, emotional regulation, and personal growth among students.
  • Collaborate effectively with a network of mental health professionals, education staff, and parents to ensure a holistic and consistent approach to each student's care.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed, utilizing de-escalation techniques and assessing the urgency of situations to ensure students receive appropriate levels of care.
  • Deliver psychoeducation to students and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and helpful community resources, fostering a deeper understanding of mental wellness.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes to meet legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in regular multidisciplinary team meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development and optimize collaborative care efforts.
  • Stay informed of evolving laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines as they pertain to mental health practice within educational environments.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on students within the school setting, many of whom may be experiencing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. This role is crucial in helping them navigate their emotional landscape, ensuring they receive the targeted support necessary for their development, well-being, and academic progression.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is required.
  • Valid and current LICSW licensure in Washington state, demonstrating your qualifications to practice as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker.
  • At least two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health or educational setting preferred, with a proven record of collaborative care and individualized treatment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of various mental health disorders, including effective evidence-based treatment modalities.

Compensation and Benefits
