Job description

Semiotic Labs is an AI research and development company working at the intersection of machine learning, cryptography, and decentralized protocols. We are best known for our contributions to The Graph, where we've built open-source tools, incentive layers, and protocol infrastructure to help decentralized networks scale securely. More recently, our work has expanded into AI-to-AI payments, agent coordination, and transaction settlement layers that will enable the next generation of decentralized systems.
We are a small, ambitious, and highly technical team looking for individuals excited to solve hard design and engineering problems in Web3.
The Role
We are looking for a UI/UX Engineer who is equally comfortable creating mock-ups, wireframes, and design assets as well as implementing them in production-ready code. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, researchers, and engineers to translate complex ideas into intuitive, beautiful, and performant user interfaces.
This role is ideal for someone who can bridge design and engineering, bringing strong visual sensibilities while also writing clean, maintainable code in modern frontend frameworks.
Responsibilities
  • Design and prototype product interfaces through mock-ups, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
  • Translate designs into pixel-perfect, accessible, and responsive implementations in React, Typescript, and Next.js.
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to refine user journeys and ensure high usability.
  • Contribute to the overall design system, ensuring consistency across products and components.
  • Implement smooth animations, transitions, and interactions to improve user experience.
  • Continuously test, iterate, and improve the UI based on user feedback.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in UI/UX design, frontend engineering, and Web3 tooling.

Why Join Us
  • Work at the frontier of AI, cryptography, and decentralized networks.
  • Small, world-class team with high autonomy and impact.
  • Fully remote and flexible work environment.
  • Opportunity to shape the UI and UX of products that will be used across the Web3 ecosystem.

  • 5+ years of experience in UI/Frontend Engineering, ideally with exposure to design responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in React, Typescript, and Next.js.
  • Strong design skills with experience in Figma, Sketch, or similar tools.
  • Ability to create wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes that communicate design intent effectively.
  • Familiarity with building and maintaining design systems and reusable component libraries.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and UX principles.
  • Attention to detail and ability to balance visual design with performance and usability.
  • Comfortable working in a remote, async-first environment with a globally distributed team.
  • Bonus: Interest or experience in Web3, cryptography, or decentralized protocols.
