About This Volunteer Role
WeVote has an open volunteer position for a Google Analytics Specialist (volunteer), for 3+ hours or more per week. You are an experienced professional with a passion for helping America navigate our current political environment. This is an opportunity to work remotely with our active team to help us get ready for multiple upcoming elections. Our ideal volunteer is passionate about politics and excited to use technology to educate voters and increase voter turnout. You'll also gain valuable technical skills, have opportunities for leadership development, and expand your personal and professional network.

Main Functional Role: This role requires 1-2 years of hands-on experience with Google Analytics and a deep understanding of web analytics and data interpretation. The Google Analytics Specialist will be responsible for implementing, managing, and analyzing web analytics solutions to provide actionable insights that drive business growth and improve the customer journey.
Key Interactions:
  • Collaborate with marketing, product management, and development teams.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for web analytics.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Implement and manage Google Analytics tracking across various digital platforms.
  • Analyze website traffic and user behavior to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Create custom reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO) to improve website performance.
  • Provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis to inform marketing strategies and product development.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular audits and troubleshooting tracking issues.

Technical/Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience with Google Analytics, including implementation, management, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Google Tag Manager for managing tracking codes and tags.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of web analytics concepts, including segmentation, funnel analysis, and attribution modeling.
  • Google Analytics certification is preferred
  • Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, SQL, and Looker / Tableau Reports is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to present insights and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
