JOB SUMMARY:

Our synergetic Ethos Risk Services team is seeking a full-time Assistant Operations Manager (REMOTE) to support the Operations Manager in overseeing the work and activities of Field Investigators. The AOM communicates company directives and strategy to investigators and provides timely feedback to management regarding investigator morale, successes, and concerns while also considering the client's needs.

Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at working independently. The ideal candidate has prior administrative experience, exceptional attention to detail, and strong coordination and communication skills in a remote setting. A background in investigations, fraud, or criminal justice is preferred, along with experience in skip tracing, OSINT techniques, and working with comprehensive data reporting systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the preparation of case updates (including content, accuracy and grammar) for clients' daily review and review cases with clients when necessary or upon requestโ€ฏ.
  • Review the prior day's investigator performance based on timeliness, quality of investigation, quality of report and video credit. Assess investigator scores based on Ethos' performance scoring matrix.
  • Help assign surveillance cases to investigators, basing assignments on 1) investigator proximity to the case, and 2) cost-effectiveness and balanced labor utilization.
  • Coordinate with Operations Managers in collaboration with field investigators and Field Agents in Charge (FAC) to ensure the accurate and efficient completion of the objectives for each caseโ€ฏ
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding their casesโ€ฏwith oversight from Operations Managers.
  • Review vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and approve invoices once accuracy is confirmedโ€ฏby Operations Managers.
  • Review investigator timecards for accuracy, and approve timecards once accuracy is confirmedโ€ฏby the Operations Manager.
  • Work outside the normal workday hours to include occasional weekend time when deemed necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Criminology or a related field (preferred).

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a criminology-related industry with familiarity with the investigation field of work. Exposure in OSINT strongly preferred.

Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize projects. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Office-like environment with constant temperatures. Frequent periods of stationary work.Work outside normal business hours, including occasional weekends, when necessary. Constant operation of office machinery, such as computers and printers.Frequent communication with clients, customers, and co-workers via telephone and in person.
