Job description

Overview
As a Technical Sales Consultant on our P&C Insurance team, you will seek to understand detailed customer needs and define how Origami Risk solutions can meet those needs both in RFPs and in person. Technical Sales Consultants are responsible for configuring and presenting complex solution demonstrations and leading technical discussions.
Responsibilities
  • Presents customized demonstrations tailored to customer requirements. Delivers business-oriented presentations to all levels of the customer organization including board level.
  • Engages in business consulting activities and conducts detailed prospect discussions.
  • Designs and configures solutions to address customer's business requirements.
  • Stages scenarios and creates demo data as needed.
  • Collaborates with the sales executive on opportunity strategy and approach.
  • Partners with client business and technical teams to understand business objectives and integration requirements.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for Claims, Policy, or Billing products.
  • Supports the sales team as an expert on the technical and integration aspects of other enterprise solutions throughout the sales cycle
  • Contributes to/writes customer-specific Origami proposals and management summaries.
  • May provide initial implementation estimates and lead initial scoping efforts.
  • Documents customer requirements and known product / configuration gaps to facilitate the handoff to service.
  • Works with product and services to identify and address product and configuration needs.
  • Leads and supports prospect POCs as required.
  • Leads the benefits assessment process and developing customized ROI/ROR analysis.
  • Assists marketing with support for events, PR, seminars, analyst demos, and campaigns.
  • Help articulate cloud visions and SaaS offerings to new and existing clients.
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineers on build out of Sales Standard databases for aligned markets.
  • Cross trains other Technical Sales Consultants in your markets of expertise to provide back up as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Business-related field.
  • 3+ years of previous experience in technical pre-sales consulting and/or sales engineering, or 6+ years of previous experience for Senior Technical Sales Consultant.
  • Previous experience working with technical sales teams and sales executives.
  • P&C Insurance industry experience required.
  • Up to 25% travel required.
