Position OverviewThe Power BI Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining reporting and analytics solutions across PatientCare EMS Solutions’ five operating companies. This position supports operational, clinical, and finance leaders through Power BI report development, data modeling, and analytics. Responsibilities include building data models and pipelines in Microsoft Fabric, administering the Power BI platform, validating data accuracy, and establishing a scalable technical structure for enterprise reporting. Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, deploy, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and KPI solutions for operations, clinical, finance, and other business functions.
  • Develop and maintain data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and integrations that bring together information from multiple operational systems.
  • Use Microsoft Fabric to organize data, develop pipelines, and create reusable data assets that support consistent reporting across the organization.
  • Administer the Power BI Service, including workspaces, gateways, security, access controls, scheduled refreshes, and platform monitoring.
  • Partner with the Senior Data Analyst, Director of Applications, and operating-company leaders to translate business requirements into KPIs, data models, and visual analytics.
  • Support the development of a company-wide KPI framework with consistent definitions, calculation logic, ownership, and validation processes.
  • Validate data accuracy and troubleshoot data-quality issues, refresh failures, integration problems, and report-performance concerns.
  • Prioritize reporting and analytics requests based on business value, urgency, effort, and organizational priorities.
  • Document data sources, models, pipelines, calculations, security requirements, and support procedures.
  • Apply HIPAA, privacy, cybersecurity, and least-privilege access standards to healthcare and business data.
Required Qualifications
  • Three or more years of professional experience in business intelligence, data analytics, analytics engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, data modeling, report development, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including data pipelines, integrations, and analytics workloads.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational database platforms such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience building data models and ETL/ELT processes that combine data from multiple source systems.
  • Experience administering Power BI Service in a business environment, including workspaces, security, gateways, and scheduled refreshes.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into KPIs, data models, and clear visual analytics.
  • Strong attention to data accuracy, validation, documentation, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work across multiple departments, manage competing requests, and communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of data security, access controls, privacy, and responsible handling of sensitive information.
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record, with the ability to travel to company locations as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare, emergency medical services, public safety, or another regulated environment, including familiarity with HIPAA requirements.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or multi-company operations.
  • Experience building an analytics platform or data-management strategy from a low-maturity starting point.
  • Experience with APIs, source-system integrations, deployment pipelines, or development lifecycle practices.
  • Microsoft certifications such as PL-300 or DP-600.
Work Environment

This is a remote position with travel of up to 25% to PatientCare EMS Solutions operating companies and corporate locations. The role requires regular collaboration with IT, analytics, clinical, finance, and operations leadership across the organization.
