About the Role:
The Sr. Manager, Project Sales and Development is responsible for driving sales growth in the North American market through early engagement in large-scale municipal and industrial projects.
Reporting to the Director of Strategic Business Development, this is a remote position in the United States. This role involves developing and executing a Projects Sales Strategy that aligns with the vision for the North American Sales organization. You will be responsible for building a high-performing project sales team, collaborating with engineering & consulting firms, system integrators, and OEMs to influence project specifications and drive funnel growth.
A Day in the Life:
  • Lead Sales Teams: Develop and sustain a high-performing project sales organization that achieves volume growth and captures market share.
  • Influence Key Accounts: Lead both in-person and virtual interactions with key project stakeholders (E&Cs, EPCs, SIs, OEMs) to influence specifications and deliver sales growth.
  • Team Leadership: Provide direction and mentorship to a team of Project Pursuit Managers and specialists, using situational leadership to coach and develop sales talent.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a collaborative sales strategy for both geographical and vertical markets, focusing on Hach's products and services.
  • Continuous Improvement: Use Veralto Enterprise System (VES) tools to drive continuous improvement, implement countermeasures, and develop standard work processes to surpass volume growth targets.
  • Customer Insights: Collaborate with product development teams to provide market insights that inform new product innovation, ensuring alignment with customer needs.

Are you qualified?
  • 10+ years of experience across commercial sales, marketing, product management, and/or business development, with a demonstrated record of driving growth and business performance.
  • 6-8 years of people leadership experience, including developing high-performing teams and leading through influence.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Industry experience in water, infrastructure, construction, engineering, or other technical markets preferred.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop strategy, identify trends, solve complex problems, and drive measurable results.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels while collaborating across functions to achieve business objectives.
  • Demonstrated commitment to innovation, continuous improvement, and transforming processes to deliver customer and market success.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $150,000 - $175,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
