Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeableSubject Matter Expert (SME) in Wastewater Treatmentto support capital projects, research, and brewery operations in the area of industrial wastewater treatment systems. The SME will provide expert-level guidance, strategic planning, process optimization, and innovative solutions for the design, operation, and improvement of wastewater treatment facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership in wastewater treatment process design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and review engineering designs, reports, and technical documents.
  • Serve as the lead expert on regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal environmental standards.
  • Evaluate and recommend advanced treatment technologies, including biological, chemical, and physical processes.
  • Support financial development and project planning by offering technical insights and feasibility assessments.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Engage in client meetings, site visits, and inspections as needed.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, regulators, and senior management.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred).
  • 12-15 years of hands-on experience in wastewater treatment.
  • Proven expertise in process design, plant operation, and/or consulting services.
  • In-depth understanding of conventional and advanced wastewater treatment technologies.
  • Familiarity with modeling software and SCADA systems.
  • Knowledge of both US and Mexican safety and environmental standards.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Relevant wastewater operator certifications a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail on multiple simultaneous tasks
  • Excellent verbal presentation skills. Excellent written communications skills and ability to document system procedures in an understandable format
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Willing to travel for extended periods of time
  • Passport and ability to travel throughout the US and Mexico is required
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly desired

  • Must be able sit and/or stand for long periods of time, and work on a computer for extended periods.

The salary range for this role is:

$121,600.00 - $194,200.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Our compensation is based on cost of labor. For remote locations or positions open to multiple locations, the pay range may reflect several US geographic markets, including the lowest geographic market minimum to the highest geographic market maximum. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. At Constellation Brands, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
