Job description

At Montera, we're building the future of digital infrastructure. Founder-led with $1.5B backed by Stonepeak, Montera is driven by a future-focused vision: to develop and operate hyperscale data centers essential for tomorrow's technology. Our mission is to deliver strategically located, hyperscale data centers designed for speed, reliability, and scalability. Backed by decades of experience in design, construction, and operations, we don't just build-we execute with purpose.
Our Values
  • Client First Alignment: We align every solution to our clients' goals.
  • Speed with Certainty: Velocity matters. We deliver with urgency and precision.
  • Operational Excellence: Decades of experience drive our high standards.
  • Safety & Integrity: Safety is non-negotiable. We lead with integrity and transparency.
  • Ownership Mentality: We think like owners, because we are.

Position Overview:
The Vice President of Procurement will lead the strategic planning and execution of Montera's hyperscale data center equipment procurement program, supporting a national portfolio of Tier 1 market developments across the United States and select markets in Canada. Reporting directly to the Chief Delivery Officer (CDO), this role will design, implement, and manage a scalable, standardized, and high-performance procurement model that ensures timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery of Major Capital Equipment (MCE) and related systems across a planned 1.5-2.5 GW IT capacity program.
This executive will serve as the primary interface between leadership, design, construction, commissioning, program controls, operations, and external equipment vendors. The Vice President will ensure that Montera's procurement strategy drives speed-to-market, cost predictability, quality manufacturing, and operational reliability across all hyperscale campuses.
Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10-15 years of progressive experience in major capital equipment procurement management, equipment manufacturing, or mission-critical infrastructure delivery.
  • Proven success developing and overseeing an equipment procurement program for hyperscale or multi-building data center campuses (50-100 MW+ IT capacity).
  • Experience developing scalable, programmatic procurement models across multiple markets.
  • Strong understanding of MEP design and construction, modular construction, QA/QC programs, and commissioning methodologies.
  • Experience managing executive-level stakeholder and vendor relationships across internal and external organizations.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore, and cost management systems.
