Job description

Everlywell is a digital health company pioneering the next generation of biomarker intelligence-combining AI-powered technology with human insight to deliver personalized, actionable health answers. We transform complex biomarker data into life-changing insights-seamlessly integrating advanced diagnostics, virtual care, and patient engagement to reshape how and where health happens.
Over the past decade, Everlywell has delivered close to 1 billion personalized health insights, transforming care for 60 million people and powering hundreds of enterprise partners. In 2025, an estimated 1 in 94 U.S. adults received an Everlywell test, solidifying our spot as the #1 at-home testing company in the country. Fueled by AI and built for scale, we're breaking down barriers, closing care gaps, and unlocking a more connected healthcare experience that is smarter, faster, and more personalized.
We're looking for a medical content and program development expert to support Everlywell on a flexible, as-needed basis. This contract role is ideal for a clinically-minded writer or healthcare professional who can quickly orient to our programs and produce high-quality work with minimal ramp-up time with a solid understanding of online media content strategy and platforms today.
The right contractor is comfortable operating independently, communicates proactively, and delivers polished outputs ensuring absolute and comprehensive accuracy and appropriateness - whether that's a clinical content review, a patient-facing script, or a program workflow summary. Engagements will vary month to month based on active project needs, typically ranging from 5 to 20 hours.
Clinical Content Development:

  • Researching, drafting, and editing clinical content for accuracy and audience for patients, providers, and general consumers
  • Creating or refining scripts tied to diagnostic results and clinical care programs
  • Reviewing and updating existing content for clinical accuracy, health literacy, and alignment with current guidelines
  • Supporting product detail pages, blog posts to drive SEO and consumer understanding, REDDIT responses, engagement communications, and patient-facing care plan language
Program & Workflow Support
  • Conducting targeted literature reviews and telehealth industry research to support new or evolving clinical programs and topic areas
  • Translating clinical requirements into clear, usable program summaries or workflow visuals
  • Identifying gaps in existing clinical documentation and recommending improvements
  • Supporting training and reference materials for internal teams or healthcare providers
What We Are Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field, journalism, or equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a healthcare or clinical setting
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA), and clinical references such as PubMed and UpToDate
  • Familiarity with Blog and SEO content, REDDIT and other online content areas and strategy
  • Demonstrated agility and understanding in leveraging AI tools and technical resources for efficient medical content review, writing, and editing
  • Exceptional written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to translate complex medical and scientific information into clear, engaging content
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Comfortable managing deliverables across a variable, project-based schedule
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) or equivalent
Engagement Details:
  • Type: Independent Contractor
  • Commitment: 5-20 hours/month, variable based on project needs
  • Location: Remote
  • Rate: $45-55/hour; commensurate with experience
