Job description

Job Responsibilities About Our Agency: South Carolina ETV (SCETV) is the state's public educational broadcasting network. SCETV amplifies South Carolina voices, provides educational experiences and strengthens communities, while working to create a stronger, more connected and informed South Carolina. SCETV provides national and local content to classrooms via internet services Knowitall.org and PBS Learning Media

SCETV also provides teacher training and re-certification in face-to-face and online settings. JOB PURPOSE: Under limited supervision, this position directs and manages ETV's Information Technology(IT) services as it relates to user support services throughout the State. This position will ensure that the agency's technical solutions are supported on both the broadcast side as well as the enterprise IT side.

This position will supervise the team responsible for statewide user technical support and internal technical training. JOB DUTIES: Manage day-to-day operations of ETV user support to both (internal) agency and state-wide (external) stakeholder user/viewer communities including: Support for ETC technologies pertinent to media systems, technology consulting and integration of ETV technological initiatives into the general user community. Develop and provide training to help desk support staff, ETV internal employees and user/viewer and education communities Provide onsite and remote support (when appropriate) to ETV internal agency staff and state-wide user/viewer and education communities Develops and/or validates policy and process documentation related to user support services.

Perform other duties as required. Minimum and Additional Requirements A bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, information technology, mathematics, statistics, management information science or a related field and experience in telecommunications, data processing and/or information technology. Relevant experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support. Candidates should have a strong background in managing and delivering tier 1 end-user support. Additional Comments Equal Opportunity Statement: SCETV is an equal employment opportunity/affirmative action employing agency.
