This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while still providing comprehensive outpatient services to clients in Germantown, Maryland, and surrounding areas. While working from home, you will engage with clients through video conferencing tools and teletherapy sessions. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Cavalier Mental and Counseling Services, you will:

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, utilizing psychosocial evaluations and diagnostic interviews to understand client needs comprehensively.
• Work closely with clients to develop customized treatment plans that incorporate their unique goals, cultural backgrounds, and personal circumstances.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), across individual, couple, family, and group sessions.
• Provide crisis intervention services, collaborating with multidisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists and case managers, to ensure seamless continuity of care for clients in acute distress.
• Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation such as progress notes and treatment plans per regulatory guidelines and organizational policies.
• Deliver psychoeducation to clients and their families to empower them with essential skills and knowledge for managing their mental health effectively.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes regularly, adjusting plans as necessary, and staying informed on the latest research and trends in mental health practice.
• Uphold ethical standards and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.

In this role, you will work with a diverse population of clients who may be experiencing various mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood disorders. Our practice focuses on providing a safe and welcoming space for individuals who have faced significant challenges, ensuring that their voices and experiences inform the therapeutic process.

To qualify for this position, you should possess:

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as either an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.
• Strong capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that enable you to build rapport with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

We prefer candidates with at least two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting. Experience with various therapeutic modalities and a background working with children, adolescents, and adults is advantageous.

The compensation for this role ranges from $70,000 to $84,000 annually, with actual compensation based on experience, education, and skill level. In addition, we offer an attractive benefits package that includes:
