Job description

Social Media Content Creator & Marketing Coordinator

Blo Blow Dry Bar – Chesterfield, MO

Part-Time | $22–$28/hour | Flexible Schedule | In-Person + Remote

Ready to turn great beauty moments into scroll-stopping content—and turn that content into real local growth?

Blo Blow Dry Bar is looking for a creative, confident, and results-minded Social Media Content Creator & Marketing Coordinator to help shape and grow our social media presence across the St. Louis market.

You’ll create content that captures the energy of our salon, showcases our team and services, builds engagement, and encourages people to book appointments, join memberships, attend events, shop our products, and come back.

This is more than a posting role. We’re looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas, create great content, and help us build a strong and recognizable local brand.

What You’ll Do

  • Help develop and grow Blo’s local social media presence
  • Regularly visit our Chesterfield salon to capture fresh, authentic content
  • Concept, film, edit, and publish Instagram Reels, TikToks, Stories, photos, and short-form videos
  • Capture blowout transformations, makeup looks, stylist personalities, client experiences, retail products, memberships, bridal services, events, and behind-the-scenes moments
  • Create and maintain a consistent content calendar
  • Write engaging captions, calls-to-action, promotional copy, and Story content
  • Create interactive Stories using polls, questions, sliders, giveaways, and other engagement tools
  • Stay current on social media trends, sounds, formats, and content styles
  • Develop creative campaigns for memberships, events, bridal services, gift cards, retail products, new services, and special offers
  • Help coordinate influencer, model, local business, and community collaborations
  • Identify opportunities to increase local visibility and attract new clients
  • Track reach, engagement, views, clicks, bookings, memberships, and other performance indicators
  • Use results to help determine which content and marketing ideas are working best
  • Consistently bring new ideas and creative concepts to the team

Who We’re Looking For

  • A creative, self-motivated professional who is excited to help shape and grow a local brand—not simply follow a content checklist
  • Experience creating social media content for a business, brand, salon, beauty company, fashion brand, restaurant, or similar organization
  • A strong eye for branding, aesthetics, photography, video, and storytelling
  • Knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Reels, Stories, and current social media trends
  • Ability to film and edit polished, engaging short-form video
  • Comfortable directing stylists, models, and clients while creating content
  • Someone who brings fresh ideas, takes initiative, and follows projects through from concept to completion
  • Dependable, organized, professional, and self-motivated
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Interested in creating content that contributes to engagement, appointments, memberships, sales, and local brand awareness

Bonus Experience

  • Canva
  • CapCut or similar video-editing platforms
  • Photography or videography
  • Meta Business Suite
  • Influencer marketing
  • Paid social advertising
  • Email or SMS marketing
  • Local business marketing
  • Beauty, hair, makeup, fashion, or luxury lifestyle brands

Schedule

This is a part-time position, approximately 10–15 hours per week to start, with the potential for additional hours as the role grows.

Some hours must be completed in person at our Chesterfield location for filming, content creation, collaboration, and local marketing initiatives.

Editing, planning, scheduling, and some marketing work may be completed remotely.

Occasional evenings or weekends may be needed for events, bridal content, collaborations, or special promotions.

Opportunities for increased compensation and expanded responsibilities may be available based on performance, reliability, creativity, and demonstrated results.

To Apply

Please submit:

  • Your resume
  • Links or examples of social media accounts, Reels, TikToks, photography, videos, or other content you have personally created
  • A portfolio, if available
  • A short note explaining what you would do to make Blo Blow Dry Bar stand out on social media in the St. Louis market

We want to see how you think and what you create.

We’re looking for someone who can bring a distinct creative point of view, move from idea to execution, and help make Blo St. Louis a beauty brand people recognize, talk about, follow, and book.

Applications without examples of previous content may not be considered
