What is remote veterinary telemedicine?

Remote veterinary telemedicine is the practice of providing veterinary care, consultations, and advice to pet owners using digital communication tools such as video calls, messaging, and apps. Veterinarians can assess pets, answer questions, and offer treatment recommendations without needing an in-person visit. This service increases access to veterinary expertise, especially for routine concerns and for clients in remote areas. However, certain emergencies or complex cases may still require a physical examination at a veterinary clinic.
