Job description

Position Title: Remote Family Law Receptionist
Salary Range: $22-$40 per hour/ DOE
A growing law firm is seeking a polished, dependable Remote Family Law Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for clients, prospective clients, attorneys, and staff. This fully remote position will manage high-volume calls, schedule consultations, collect prospective client information, conduct conflict checks, and maintain accurate records within the firm's case management system. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, highly organized, tech-savvy, and committed to delivering exceptional service to clients navigating sensitive and emotionally challenging legal matters.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients, prospective clients, attorneys, and staff
  • Answer and manage a high volume of incoming calls with professionalism, discretion, and empathy
  • Schedule consultations and coordinate availability with the firm's intake specialists
  • Communicate with intake specialists through live chat to determine who can accept prospective client calls
  • Gather essential information from prospective clients, including their name, phone number, and type of legal matter
  • Create and maintain prospective client profiles and portals within the firm's case management and CRM system
  • Open approximately 20 prospective client portals each day

Requirements:
  • Current legal experience & experience performing responsibilities closely aligned with a legal receptionist role
  • At least 3 years of receptionist experience in a professional, high-volume environment
  • Proven ability to handle challenging clients with patience, professionalism, and sound judgment
  • Ability to manage high call volume of inbound calls
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, time-management, organization, and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Family law experience strongly preferred
