Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Infrastructure Systems Engineer to join our team based in Aurora, Colorado.

The selected candidate for this role will be someone with decomposing system level requirements, developing acceptance criteria for verification for compute, datacenter, environmental and antenna systems. The candidate will support and participate in the design, test, modification, assembly and integration of prototype and operational systems. A successful candidate will have experience that includes design, integration, verification, or deployment.

The selected candidate will be someone who can successfully:

  • Utilize sound technical writing to decompose system level requirements, provide presentations at an appropriate level for customer change request briefings, discussions at DRB, PMR, and discussions regarding future capability.
  • Understand network architectures at a WAN and LAN level, and has experience integrating a variety of satcom into a system architecture.
  • Apply technical knowledge of mechanical and electronics principles to provide context and severity/priority to documented equipment failures and components in an infrastructure architecture as the relate to overall system reliability and availability.
  • Attend meetings with government employees and other contractor teams, demonstrate proficiency and initiative in daily activities and always carry a professional attitude towards customers and colleagues.
  • Apply industry best practice as a system integrator to oversee appropriate material handling, safety, and configuration management by NG and subcontractor teams.
  • Position may require planned travel quarterly or less.

This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work.

Basic Qualifications

  • 12+ Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelor's-STEM degree; 10+ Years of relevant experience with a completed Master's-STEM degree; 8+ Years of relevant experience with a completed PhD-STEM
  • Experience creating hosting requirements for software systems, Interface Control Documents
  • Experience using model based systems engineering tools
  • Must have an Active/Final Top Secret/SCI security clearance at time of application, with eligibility/willingness to submit (and pass) to a counterintelligence polygraph if/when needed
  • Possess and demonstrate work-related experience with the design, installation, integration, operation, maintenance, and repair of ground support systems
  • Possess system-level test experience working with ground infrastructure hardware
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Practical EW/RF systems knowledge gained through design, construction, and or tactical communications system experience is a plus
  • Experience writing/reviewing BOEs for proposals
  • Experience creating and/or reviewing rack elevation drawings
  • Technical subcontract management or coordination experience
  • Experience deploying equipment to OCONUS sites
  • SATCOM system experience
  • Previous deployment experience working on location and/or in the field to support the Department of Defense and/or the Intelligence Community is highly desirable.
Primary Level Salary Range: $177,000.00 - $265,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
