Job description

Solution Engineer / Technical Specialist (Resilio Team)
Location: EAST Coast - United States - remote
Role Overview
Nasuni is expanding its platform capabilities through the acquisition of Resilio, a leader in real-time data movement and edge data synchronization. This role sits on the Resilio team within Nasuni, supporting customers with high-performance, distributed data workflows across hybrid and edge environments.
We are hiring a Solution Engineer to drive technical success across the pre-sales cycle-owning product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and technical validation for customers evaluating Resilio-powered solutions.
This role is ideal for someone who:
  • Thrives in customer-facing technical environments
  • Can translate complex infrastructure into clear business value
  • Enjoys hands-on deployment, troubleshooting, and solution design

This role is not for candidates who prefer purely internal or support-only roles without direct customer engagement.
Level & Scope Definition
  • Owns the technical win in the sales cycle for mid-market and enterprise opportunities
  • Operates independently across multiple deals with moderate complexity
  • Leads POCs, demos, and deployment validation with customers
  • Partners closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success
  • Provides solution-level guidance, not product roadmap ownership
  • Focus is execution with influence, not strategic territory ownership

Responsibilities
  • Lead technical discovery conversations to understand customer data architecture, workflows, and constraints
  • Design and deliver tailored product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts (POCs) using Resilio technology
  • Guide customers through installation, configuration, and deployment in hybrid and cloud environments
  • Advise on best practices for:
    • Distributed data synchronization
    • Network and storage architecture
    • Performance optimization and scalability
  • Partner with Account Executives to progress deals and remove technical blockers
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure smooth transition from pre-sales to post-sales
  • Use scripting (e.g., PowerShell) and automation tools to accelerate deployments and troubleshooting
  • Apply AI-assisted tools (where appropriate) to improve demo preparation, troubleshooting efficiency, and customer insights
  • Represent Nasuni and the Resilio platform at customer meetings, events, and technical workshops
  • Contribute to technical documentation, enablement content, and reusable demo assets

Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications
  • 7-9+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or customer-facing technical roles
  • Hands-on experience deploying and supporting distributed systems, storage, or data infrastructure solutions
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Networking fundamentals (VPNs, subnets, firewalls)
    • Storage systems and performance considerations
  • Experience with Windows, Linux, and cloud environments (Azure preferred)
  • Ability to independently run technical demos, POCs, and customer deployments
  • Experience using scripting (e.g., PowerShell, CLI tools) for troubleshooting or automation
  • Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with data replication, synchronization, or edge data technologies
  • Familiarity with Azure infrastructure and automation services
  • Experience supporting enterprise or mid-market customers in pre-sales cycles
  • Exposure to AI-assisted tools for workflow efficiency (e.g., automation, diagnostics, or content generation)

Ideal Qualifications
  • Experience in high-performance data transfer or real-time data orchestration platforms
  • Background in hybrid cloud or edge computing architectures
  • Proven track record influencing technical wins in complex sales cycles
  • Experience creating reusable demo environments or automation frameworks

Experience Guidelines
  • 7-9+ years total experience in technical roles
  • 3-5+ years in customer-facing (Sales Engineering or similar) roles
  • Demonstrated experience working across multiple concurrent customer engagements
