The Vaccinator administers vaccinations to the patients and residents in the Long-Term Care communities we serve. This position ensures high quality vaccination through education regarding vaccine storage and handling, administration, billing, documentation, and vaccine safety.

Essential Job Functions (include the following):
  • Screens vaccine recipients pre-vaccine for potential concerns as identified by facility guidelines
  • Educates recipient and administers vaccine as indicated
  • Documents vaccine administration using appropriate medical record system. Monitors pre and post vaccination for potential side effects and refers for additional assessment/care as indicated.
  • Collaborates effectively with all disciplines and levels of care regarding patient care.
  • Ensures compliance with various Isolation Precautions and Infection Control Guidelines
  • Supports vaccine administration sites by responding to issues, questions, and ensuring training, as needed, for new products or changes to products.

Education and/or Certifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Appropriate clinical licensure/certification as determined by state regulations.

  • Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
