Job Description
The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter driven to make their territory a success. This role will combine hunting for new logos along with upselling existing clients. Must be self-guided, use past sales experience and intuition to sell complex websites and digital marketing services to professional vacation rental managers.
The successful salesperson will be:
  • Passionate about the vacation/short-term rental industry
  • Knowledgeable on territory, state regulations, competitors, and industry challenges
  • Comfortable with long, complex sales cycle
  • Able to balance their drive to sell with an emotional maturity to understand the customer's needs.
  • Experienced selling features, benefits, and values rather than price

What You'll Do (Functions & Responsibilities)
  • Disciplined in managing data and information to develop and project accurate sales forecasts.
  • Demonstrated history of successful outcomes with the full sales cycle, from lead generation and prospecting to qualification, managing objectives and closing the deal.
  • Ability to cold call in-market and through social media, email, and phone.
  • Ability to sell and demo complex digital marketing products and services.
  • Quick, curious learner able to understand the complex needs of professional vacation rental managers including geographic differences in operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to secure and maintain customers, and in some cases, to successfully sell or transition the customer to another product that more effectively meets their needs.
  • Good follow-up skills with a proven track record of re-engaging clients.
  • Ability to collaborate with fellow team members to support migrations, problem resolution and opportunities to upsell.
  • An enthusiastic, positive, outgoing attitude and strong interest in building relationships and networking throughout the vacation rental industry.
  • Familiar with a deep discovery process to uncover pain points and set proper expectations.

What We're Looking For (Minimum qualifications)
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience selling website and digital marketing services or
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in digital marketing account management, preferably in the real estate, travel, property management, or vacation rental industry
  • Excellent communication including fundamental presentation skills and the ability to articulate ideas clearly and appropriately to influence others.
  • Technologically savvy with the ability to give online demos and showcase the Inhabit platform.
  • Proven track record of sales achievement with an aggressive drive to achieve high targets; results oriented.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making
  • Accountable and committed to excellence.
  • Energetic phone presence and excellent active listening skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills & the ability to influence external/internal stakeholders
  • Future-forward thinker who is comfortable bridging the gap between current property management mindsets and the future of our business.

  • Ability to travel is required (travel is estimated to be once a quarter in-market and to several industry trade shows in the Fall and Spring)

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent sales work experience will be considered; High School diploma required
