• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the psychological needs of clients, utilizing standardized assessment tools to guide treatment pathways effectively.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that reflect the distinctive goals and challenges of each client, drawing on diverse therapeutic frameworks and evidence-based interventions.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Mindfulness-Based Therapy, ensuring that practices align with each client's treatment goals.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team, including psychiatrists and case managers, to coordinate care and enhance client outcomes through integrated approaches.

• Support family members by providing educational resources and fostering open communication to involve them actively in the recovery process.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records that comply with regulatory standards and ethical guidelines, utilizing electronic health record systems to streamline documentation.

Our therapists work with a diverse population of clients, including individuals coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health disorders. We specifically focus on the emotional and psychological needs of those in hospice care, addressing not only their mental health challenges but also helping them find strength and meaning during difficult times. This position requires cultural competence and sensitivity to the unique experiences of clients who may come from various backgrounds, ensuring that care is tailored to individual needs.

• Possession of a valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is essential; advanced degrees are preferred.

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating a commitment to client care.

• Strong analytical skills paired with a solid understanding of evidence-based practices for various mental health conditions.

• Prior experience within hospice or similar healthcare settings is highly desirable, enabling a deeper understanding of the specific needs of clients in end-of-life care.

• Demonstrated experience in family therapy or group facilitation is a plus, as collaboration with families plays a crucial role in the therapeutic process.

• A background in crisis intervention techniques and trauma-informed care is advantageous.
