You will interact with clients primarily through our telehealth platform, ensuring that mental health services are easily accessible. • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental health and substance use needs, evaluating care levels pre- and post-service to ensure alignment with best practice standards.
• Perform prior authorization reviews for mental health and substance abuse treatments, applying state-specific regulatory guidelines to ascertain medical necessity.
• Engage in concurrent reviews of behavioral health inpatient cases, assessing overall patient health, treatment requirements, and discharge preparations.
• Utilize analytical tools to scrutinize behavioral health data, aiming to improve service quality and ensure appropriate resource utilization.
• Educate clients, families, and healthcare providers about the behavioral health service processes to facilitate understanding and engagement.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss necessary levels of care and service improvements.
• Work closely with medical directors and organizational leadership to enhance care quality and efficiency.
• Present detailed case formulations during staffing and integrated rounds, contributing to team-based care discussions.
• Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned, remaining adaptable to the organization’s changing needs.
• Comply fully with organizational policies and ethical standards, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective care.

This role primarily supports diverse clients experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. As a remote provider, you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients by offering compassionate care and evidence-based interventions tailored to individual needs.

• A valid license to practice independently as a Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts, meeting all state-specific requirements.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; however, a Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related discipline is preferred.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience in mental health counseling is required, preferably within a telehealth or agency setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport with clients and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

• Demonstrated experience working with telehealth platforms.
• Familiarity with behavioral health regulations and best practices in client assessment and treatment.
• Experience in providing group counseling and educational programs focused on mental health.
• Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities relevant to various mental health disorders.

The position offers a competitive salary ranging between $70,000 and $90,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
