This role is fully remote, providing you the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home while connecting with clients across the nation. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including Clinical Directors and other professionals, to foster a therapeutic environment and ensure consistent treatment strategies. Having the flexibility to manage your own schedule allows for a better work-life balance, especially in the demanding field of mental health.

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to gauge their counseling needs and mental health conditions, especially focusing on substance abuse diagnoses using DSM criteria.
• Utilize ASAM criteria to determine the appropriate level of care for clients, ensuring a tailored approach to treatment.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that address substance use disorders and facilitate long-term recovery.
• Design discharge and continuum of care plans to ensure smooth transitions and appropriate follow-ups for clients after treatment.
• Document all counseling sessions, assessments, and treatment updates meticulously to maintain precise clinical records.
• Manage a diverse caseload, providing continual support through case management and maintaining detailed utilization reviews.
• Coordinate with support services for clients and their families, recording all interventions and referrals in clinical documentation.
• Engage with various referral sources, such as schools and legal entities, to enhance treatment and support for clients.
• Facilitate crisis interventions with a collaborative approach, utilizing the strengths of the multidisciplinary team to address urgent client needs.

This position focuses on treating a diverse group of individuals facing complex challenges related to substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. You will work with clients from various backgrounds, helping them navigate their recovery paths through empathetic, culturally competent care.

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW) from an accredited institution is required; an LCSW license is mandatory for this position.
• Strong professionalism, excellent therapeutic boundaries, and cultural competency are essential.
• Effective self-motivation and excellent time management skills are crucial for maintaining a remote work environment.
• Ability to document treatment and therapeutic processes in a clear and concise manner.
• Proficient in a range of therapeutic methodologies and frameworks for treatment.

• Previous experience in substance abuse counseling and co-occurring disorders, particularly in a remote or virtual setting, is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with documentation and case management software to enhance client treatment coordination.
• Experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams to address client needs effectively.
