Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – onsite with one remote day per week)

Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000 annually (bonus eligible starting in 2027)

About the Opportunity

Addison Group is seeking an Intake Manager on behalf of our client for a direct hire opportunity within a growing specialty healthcare organization. This leadership role will oversee a team responsible for patient intake, insurance authorization processes, and front-end revenue cycle operations. The position offers the chance to play a key role in supporting patient access and ensuring a seamless experience from initial referral through onboarding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of intake and utilization management specialists
  • Oversee the patient onboarding process from initial referral through authorization and account setup
  • Ensure efficient handling of insurance verifications, benefits reviews, and prior authorizations
  • Monitor team performance, workflow efficiency, and service quality standards
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with revenue cycle, billing, and operations teams to optimize processes
  • Provide guidance on resolving complex cases related to coverage, eligibility, or patient access
  • Support ongoing training initiatives and foster a team-oriented, service-focused environment
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices across intake operations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (or actively pursuing completion)
  • 3+ years of recent experience in healthcare operations, with exposure to intake, authorizations, or revenue cycle processes
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience managing small to mid-sized teams
  • Background in specialty healthcare or behavioral health environments strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of front-end revenue cycle functions, including prior authorizations and patient access workflows
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a collaborative, team-first mindset
  • Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on problem-solving
  • Highly organized with strong time management and the ability to manage multiple priorities
