Job Title: IT Business Analyst Location: Toms River, NJ Type: Contract To Possible Permanent Compensation: $38.45 - $45.65 / Hr. Contractor Work Model: This position is required to work onsite a the manufacturing plant in New Jersey - No remote work available Hours: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch) | Monday-Friday

IT Business Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Manage and troubleshoot EDI inbound and outbound documents, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange.
  • Conduct analysis of plans, proposals, and needs involving the creation and modifications of Crystal Reports based on business requirements.
  • Install, set up, and configure desktops, laptops, and printers following standard procedures; troubleshoot and resolve related issues.
  • Support and troubleshoot the IQMS business system, providing user support and ensuring system functionality.
  • Follow System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices on major projects including planning, design, testing, documentation, and implementation to meet user requirements.
  • Create, update, and close help tickets documenting problems and user requests, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Perform gap analysis between current business processes and system capabilities; recommend solutions aligned with company goals.
  • Facilitate meetings with department heads to identify process inefficiencies and propose technology-driven improvements.
  • Document and maintain business process workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Follow departmental procedures to ensure quality standards are met; perform other duties as required.

IT Business Analyst Requirements:

  • Manufacturing experience required to support IQMS ERP system and applications.
  • Ability to write and maintain Crystal Reports from initial creation.
  • Working knowledge of SQL language for queries and Crystal Reports development.
  • Working knowledge of EDI to manage and troubleshoot inbound and outbound documents.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 5+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, reports, and business correspondence.
  • Effective communication skills to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics; apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to define issues, analyze data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Physical ability to sit, handle tools, and lift/move up to 25 pounds; specific vision abilities required.
  • Work environment involves occasional exposure to electrical shock, moderate noise, and adherence to safety protocols including PPE.
