Job description

This role will be remote to the San Jose, CA or Seattle, WA location.

Meet the Team

Cisco's AI Software & Platform Group is building the platform for AI app development, first for Cisco's own teams and now, increasingly, for partners and the third-party developers building on Cisco. Cloud Control Studio is the experience on top of it: the place where anyone, from engineers to non-technical builders to AI agents, can build anything. Studio brings together App Builder for building apps and a bring-your-own coding-agent path with the docs and resources to build and manage apps your own way. We are hiring a leader to own that experience, free and paid alike.

Your Impact

You own how builders create in Cloud Control Studio: how someone goes from a prompt to a running, production-grade app, whether they build it in Studio or bring their own coding agent. AI is rewriting how software gets built, and Studio is how Cisco meets builders where that is going. Your scope spans both the free and the paid capabilities of that experience.

This is a senior role defined by ownership rather than task lists. You shape the strategy for the experience and carry accountability for where it goes, working closely with engineering and the partners around you. It is one of the most consequential product seats in the group.

Studio lives or dies on craft. You own how building feels: how someone describes what they want, previews it, refines it with AI, and ships it, whether they are in App Builder or bringing their own coding agent. Your job is to make both paths feel like one product, not two.

Studio is also a business. You own the commercial model: which capabilities are free, which are paid, and how the two fit together as builders move between them in whatever direction their work takes them. Figuring out that model is part of the job, not a given. You own monetization and partnerships, and you carry the number the way a general manager carries theirs.

Studio is built on the group's shared foundations. You partner closely with the Developer Foundations team, feeding Studio's needs into the foundations roadmap, while staying accountable for the experience and the business rather than for the substrate beneath them.

You will be measured on outcomes that matter: how many builders reach a shipped app and how fast, adoption across both free and paid, revenue against commit, and the health of the ecosystem building on Studio.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 8+ years in product management or an equivalent discipline, including owning a product or experience end to end with accountability for both adoption and business or revenue outcomes.

  • Hands-on software engineering background. You have shipped production code and can earn the trust and respect of senior engineers on technical merits.

  • Concept to adoption. Demonstrated experience taking a product from concept to a shipping, widely adopted state with real commercial outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Domain depth: AI application platforms and app builders, including prompt-to-app or agentic app-generation products. Hands on experience using AI coding agents, and a feel for how AI is reshaping the way software gets built.

  • Commercial model design: owning pricing, packaging, and how free and paid capabilities fit together for a developer or platform product.

  • Partner ownership: comfort owning a major ecosystem or model-provider relationship end to end.

  • Coherence at the seams: experience unifying multiple product surfaces into one experience that feels like a single product.

  • Communication: excellent written and verbal communication, with the range to speak credibly to internal teams and external customers and stakeholders alike.
