The Role

Fullscript is looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join a brand new Canada-focused pod.

This team is being created to help grow Fullscript's business in Canada by building revenue-driving features for the Canadian market and extending high-value capabilities that already exist in the US into Canada.

As the founding engineer on the team, you will play an outsized role in shaping both the product and the way the team works. You will help define technical direction, partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders, and establish a high bar for quality, ownership, and pragmatic execution from the ground up.

This is a fullstack role. We're looking for someone who is comfortable building backend systems and user-facing product experiences, and who can move between business logic, APIs, data flows, and frontend implementation as needed.

What you'll do:
  • Help establish the technical foundation for a new Canada pod, including architecture, engineering practices, and delivery approach.

  • Extend and adapt existing US-supported capabilities for the Canadian market, including changes across frontend experiences, backend systems, business logic, and operational workflows.

  • Partner with Product, Design, Data, Finance, Operations, and engineers across Fullscript to translate business opportunities into practical technical solutions.

  • Work across the stack to deliver maintainable, observable, and scalable solutions.

  • Contribute to solution design, rollout planning, and measurement of business impact.

  • Write high-quality code, contribute to technical improvements, and maintain strong quality standards.

  • Help create a strong team culture by modeling ownership, collaboration, and thoughtful technical judgment.

  • Make build vs adapt decisions to shape how the Canada platform evolves.

What you bring to the table:
  • You are a strong fullstack software engineer who takes pride in building high-quality, maintainable systems and product experiences.

  • You have experience with our tech stack: Ruby or Ruby on Rails and React and are comfortable building user-facing product experiences and backend services.

  • You are comfortable working with APIs and application layers such as GraphQL.

  • You write automated tests and understand their value in safe, continuous delivery.

  • You work well in ambiguity and can help create structure in a new or evolving team.

  • You are comfortable taking ownership beyond implementation, including helping shape technical direction, delivery strategy, and tradeoff decisions.

  • You are highly data-driven, and you use business and product signals such as conversion, average order value, and revenue growth to guide decisions and evaluate impact.

  • You communicate clearly and collaborate well with cross-functional partners.

Bonus if you have:
  • Experience as an early engineer or founding engineer on a new team, product area, or market expansion effort.

  • Experience in health tech or other trust-sensitive domains.

What We Offer:
  • Ability to work Wherever You Work Well*
  • Flexible Paid Time Off program
  • Fullscript's RRSP match program
  • Stock Options
  • Custom benefits package (medical, dental, vision) with HSA
  • Discount on Fullscript catalog of products for family & friends
  • Training budget and company-wide learning initiatives
  • Employee Wellness Programs (including no meeting Wednesday)

*Our Wherever You Work Well philosophy means Fullscript teammates get to pick their own office - whether that's in-office, at home, or a bit of both

Compensation range

The salary range for this role is between $125,000 and $165,000 CAD. Fullscript shares salary ranges to support transparency and help candidates make informed decisions. The range shown reflects base salary only and does not include stock options, wellness stipends, or other benefits that are part of Fullscript's total rewards package.
