JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a mid-level Experience Designer to join the TurboTax Marketing XD team and own the design and continuous testing of the brand's digital "front door." This role will focus on content templates, campaign landing pages, and store/local market pages that create customers' first impressions of TurboTax. The ideal candidate combines strong visual and interaction design, hands-on Figma expertise, design-system thinking, marketing/growth experience, and strong copywriting instincts to create fast, on-brand, test-validated experiences that drive customer engagement and business results.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Design and iterate on content articles, campaign landing pages, and store/local market pages.
Own both page layout and on-page copy to create cohesive customer experiences.
Apply and contribute to established design systems, brand playbooks, and internal design toolkits.
Build and maintain scalable Figma assets, component libraries, templates, and reusable design resources.
Use Figma features including auto layout, variables, design tokens, components, and prototyping.
Create responsive digital experiences quickly while maintaining strong visual quality and brand consistency.
Partner with Web Operations to ensure designs are technically feasible, performant, and implemented accurately.
Design within CMS, template, and web-production constraints.
Translate campaign briefs and business objectives into effective experience designs.
Collaborate with channel owners, marketing stakeholders, and agency partners on campaign and front-door experiences.
Draft and refine headlines, body copy, CTAs, and other on-page marketing content.
Partner with brand and content teams when deeper copywriting or messaging expertise is required.
Use customer insights, experimentation results, analytics, and behavioral data to inform design decisions.
Support rapid design iteration and testing during tax season.
Contribute to systems, playbooks, and toolkit development during planning season.
Manage multiple concurrent projects across content, campaign, and local-market surfaces.
Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback supported by customer data, design rationale, and industry trends.
Communicate design decisions and recommendations effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Collaborate with Data Science and measurement partners to maintain an experimentation and optimization pipeline.
Must have Skills
3+ years of experience in Experience Design, Product Design, UX Design, or a related field.
Strong hands-on experience designing marketing, growth, conversion, or customer-facing digital experiences.
Expert-level Figma proficiency, including component libraries, auto layout, variables, design tokens, and prototyping.
Experience building and maintaining scalable design-system assets rather than simply consuming existing components.
Proven experience working within established design systems, brand guidelines, playbooks, and design toolkits.
Strong visual design and interaction design skills with excellent attention to hierarchy, consistency, usability, and responsive design.
Ability to design landing pages, content experiences, campaign pages, and localized/store pages efficiently.
Strong copywriting instincts with the ability to create and refine marketing headlines, body copy, and CTAs.
Experience partnering with Web Operations, developers, content teams, marketing teams, or other cross-functional partners.
Understanding of CMS/template constraints and web implementation feasibility.
Customer-centric mindset with an understanding of conversion, experimentation, and measurable business outcomes.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced marketing environment.
Strong communication, collaboration, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
Industry Experience:
Experience in marketing technology, digital marketing, e-commerce, consumer technology, SaaS, financial services, tax/fintech, or high-volume customer-facing digital products is preferred. Candidates with experience in marketing experience design, growth/conversion optimization, campaign landing pages, content design, design systems, localization, web/CMS experiences, and experimentation-driven design will be especially relevant.
