What is a remote UGC creator?

A remote UGC (User-Generated Content) creator is someone who produces content such as photos, videos, reviews, or testimonials for brands or companies from a remote location, rather than working on-site. UGC creators typically use their own devices to create authentic content that brands can use for marketing and social media. This role allows for flexible work schedules and the opportunity to collaborate with various companies, often on a freelance or contract basis.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote UGC creator?

To thrive as a Remote UGC Creator, you need creativity, strong writing or visual content skills, and an understanding of digital marketing or social media trends, often supported by a portfolio of work. Familiarity with content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or smartphone editing apps is typically required. Excellent communication, self-motivation, and adaptability are standout soft skills for collaborating with brands and managing your workflow remotely. These skills enable creators to produce engaging content that aligns with brand goals while maintaining flexibility and professionalism in a remote environment.

What are some common challenges faced by remote UGC creators, and how can they be overcome?

Remote UGC creators often face challenges such as staying motivated without in-person supervision, managing tight deadlines, and ensuring their content aligns with brand guidelines. Building a structured daily routine, utilizing project management tools, and maintaining clear communication with clients or team members can help overcome these hurdles. Additionally, regularly reviewing feedback and participating in online UGC communities can provide support and inspiration, making it easier to stay productive and creative while working remotely.

Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Junior Influencer Marketing & UGC Coordinator based in Netherlands.

This is an execution-focused opportunity for someone passionate about creators, social media, and short-form content.
You will manage the creator collaboration pipeline from discovery and outreach through campaign delivery and publication.
The role combines influencer research, relationship building, pipeline management, and campaign coordination.
You will evaluate creators based on engagement, audience relevance, content quality, and brand alignment-not simply follower counts.
Working in a fast-moving global environment, you will have significant ownership and the opportunity to contribute ideas directly to business and marketing initiatives.
The position is ideal for someone highly organized, persistent, digitally savvy, and comfortable managing high-volume workflows independently.
It also offers strong exposure to leadership, rapid learning, and meaningful opportunities to grow with the function.

Accountabilities
  • Discover and vet relevant creators across Instagram and TikTok using native platforms and influencer discovery tools, assessing engagement, average views, audience relevance, content consistency, production quality, and brand fit.
  • Conduct personalized creator outreach and structured follow-up sequences based on creator profiles, priorities, and campaign objectives.
  • Maintain an organized creator pipeline by accurately tracking communications, creator records, campaign status, priorities, and next steps in CRM and other systems.
  • Coordinate creator collaborations end to end, from initial outreach and briefing through product development, content review, approval, and final publication.
  • Ensure creators understand creative briefs, deadlines, required tags, promotional codes, deliverables, and other campaign requirements.
  • Proactively follow up with creators to maintain timelines, resolve bottlenecks, and support successful campaign delivery.
  • Track key performance indicators including creator sourcing volume, outreach activity, response and conversion rates, confirmed partnerships, on-time delivery, and published content performance.
  • Identify quality, communication, or timeline risks early and take ownership of appropriate corrective actions.
  • Contribute insights from creator activity and campaign performance to help improve marketing processes, workflows, and broader business initiatives.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated understanding of Instagram, TikTok, short-form video trends, and current creator and influencer culture.
  • Strong content judgment and the ability to recognize effective storytelling, audience alignment, engagement quality, and content performance beyond follower counts.
  • Highly organized, proactive, persistent, and comfortable managing a high-volume outreach and follow-up pipeline with limited supervision.
  • Excellent written English with a professional, natural, and engaging communication style when interacting with creators.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to quickly assess information, identify patterns, and make practical decisions.
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, CRM-style platforms, influencer databases, and other digital tools, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, urgency, and follow-through, with a willingness to take responsibility for outcomes.
  • Comfortable receiving direct, constructive feedback and adapting quickly in a changing environment.
  • Previous experience in influencer marketing, UGC, social media, PR, brand partnerships, or outbound sales is advantageous, but motivated entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teammates across different time zones.
Benefits
  • Full-time independent contractor engagement.
  • 100% remote position with global working opportunities.
  • Flexible working hours with overlap as needed with teammates in European and U.S. time zones.
  • Competitive, market-based compensation for a junior-level position, adjusted according to location and level of impact.
  • Direct exposure to senior leadership and opportunities for mentorship and professional development.
  • High level of autonomy with the opportunity to influence marketing workflows, processes, and strategic initiatives.
  • Fast-paced environment offering significant opportunities for personal and professional growth.
  • Opportunity to build practical expertise in influencer marketing, UGC, creator partnerships, and performance-driven content.
  • Opportunity to work at the intersection of technology, global commerce, product creation, and digital marketing.
