Position Overview

Heartlight Counseling Center is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. This is a unique opportunity for LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC licensed professionals who are passionate about utilizing telehealth platforms to provide critical mental health support. You will engage with clients experiencing various mood disorders, including depression and anxiety, delivering tailored therapeutic interventions via a secure, innovative telehealth system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms in clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their unique circumstances.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans in partnership with clients, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to their specific needs.
  • Utilize effective therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to aid in the treatment of mood disorders.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment methods, and self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journey.
  • Monitor client progress meticulously, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations and feedback.
  • Work closely with psychiatrists and other medical professionals, fostering an integrated approach to enhance client care.
  • Engage in case consultations and team meetings to contribute to the collective expertise of the team and stay current with best practices in mental health.
  • Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and assessments per legal and ethical standards.
  • Advocate for clients, actively working towards destigmatizing mental health issues and promoting necessary resources.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve working with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. This diverse clientele may include adults, adolescents, and families who seek assistance in navigating the challenges associated with their mental health conditions. Your compassionate approach can significantly enhance their journey toward wellness.

Qualifications
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC in California.
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of California laws and professional ethics governing mental health practice.
  • Successful completion of a background check through the FBI and DOJ is required.
  • Up-to-date tuberculosis (TB) test results within six months.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience working with learning disabilities, behavioral issues, and social/emotional disorders.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote therapeutic techniques is beneficial.
  • Experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.
Compensation and Benefits

Heartlight Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of $115,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
