Does Tricare have remote jobs?

Remote Tricare RN positions are available, often requiring nursing licensure and experience in case management or telehealth. These roles typically involve working from home with flexible schedules and may require secure communication tools and adherence to healthcare privacy standards.

What is a Remote Tricare RN?

A Remote Tricare RN is a registered nurse who provides healthcare services and support to patients covered by Tricare, the health insurance program for military members and their families, while working remotely. These nurses may conduct patient assessments, coordinate care, offer health education, and assist with case management through phone or online platforms. Working remotely allows them to support military families regardless of location, ensuring continuity of care. They must be licensed RNs and often have experience in case management, utilization review, or similar fields.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Tricare RN, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Tricare RN, you need a current RN license, experience in case management or telehealth, and knowledge of Tricare policies and procedures. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, telehealth platforms, and case management software is typically required. Excellent communication, critical thinking, and self-motivation are essential soft skills for remote coordination with patients and healthcare teams. These competencies ensure effective patient care, compliance with Tricare standards, and high-quality outcomes in a virtual environment.

How to make $300,000 as a nurse online?

A remote Tricare RN can increase earnings by specializing in high-demand areas, obtaining advanced certifications, and leveraging telehealth platforms. Building a strong reputation and taking on additional shifts or consulting roles can also contribute to higher income, but reaching $300,000 annually typically requires multiple income streams or advanced roles within the field.

Does TriWest offer remote positions?

TriWest Healthcare Alliance offers remote positions for roles such as Tricare RNs, allowing employees to work from home. These positions typically require relevant healthcare certifications and may involve telehealth tools and electronic health record systems.

What are some common challenges faced by Remote Tricare RNs, and how can they be managed effectively?

Remote Tricare RNs often face challenges such as maintaining clear communication with patients and care teams across different time zones, navigating complex Tricare policies, and ensuring patient privacy in a virtual setting. To manage these, it's important to stay updated on Tricare guidelines, utilize secure digital communication tools, and participate in regular virtual meetings with the healthcare team. Developing strong organizational skills and proactively seeking support from colleagues can also help remote RNs deliver high-quality care.

Jobs that can pay $4,000 a week without a degree often include high-level sales, real estate broker, or specialized trades like certain construction or technical roles, but these usually require experience, certifications, or licensing. Role Overview

As a GI Expert Nurse Practitioner at Oshi Health, you'll deliver high-quality, virtual-first gastrointestinal care to adults with complex digestive conditions through our telemedicine platform. You'll work alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team with dietitians, and behavioral health specialists to provide coordinated, whole-person care that helps patients achieve lasting digestive health improvements. This role is at the heart of our mission — and your clinical expertise will directly change lives.

What You'll Do — Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver virtual patient care in alignment with Oshi's evidence-based care model, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for GI conditions with a focus on DGBIs, GERD, and IBD via video visits and chat messaging
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (GI physicians, dietitians, behavioral health specialists, and care coordinators) to implement coordinated, comprehensive care plans
  • Adhere to clinical protocols including ROME IV criteria and AGA and ACG guidelines to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care delivery
  • Document patient interactions accurately and timely within the EHR, maintaining thorough and compliant records
  • Allocate approximately 30 hours per week to direct patient care and 10 hours to documentation, meetings, and administrative responsibilities
  • This is not a traditional 9-5 role — scheduling includes a mix of early morning, evening, and weekend hours to meet patient access needs. Flexibility and willingness to work outside standard business hours is essential
  • Participate in quality improvement, clinical program development, and professional training to stay current in the field of gastrointestinal care
  • Pursue cross-licensure opportunities and maintain good standing with all relevant licenses and certifications
What We're Looking For — Qualifications & Requirements

Required

  • Current licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing
  • Current certification by ANCC, AANP, or other qualifying agency as an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in gastroenterology specialty in an outpatient setting
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary care providers including physicians, psychologists, and registered dietitians

Preferred

  • Licensure in 2 additional states desired — candidates must be willing and able to obtain within 60 days of hire
  • Experience with or willingness to learn common administrative and clinical technologies (Zoom, Google Suite, Salesforce, Athena, or equivalent)
  • Prior experience with telehealth platforms
  • Comfort with and commitment to a consistent evening schedule (10AM–6PM or 11AM–7PM EST/CST)
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary Range: Competitive, commensurate with experience, with annual bonus eligibility
  • Health Benefits: 90% employee premiums paid for medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Time Off: 3 weeks paid PTO + 11 paid holidays + 1 floating holiday
  • Retirement: Eligibility to contribute to 401(k)
  • Work Style: Remote-first — work from home anywhere in the US
  • Growth: Advanced training by GI-specialized clinicians and professional development support as we scale
  • Licensure: Cross-licensure support and reimbursement opportunities
  • Life Concierge: Dedicated personal support through Overalls
