We are seeking an experienced ISA Certified Sales Arborist who combines technical arboriculture expertise with a passion for helping clients protect, enhance and experience the value of their trees. This isn't just another sales position, it's an opportunity to become a trusted advisor to homeowners, commercial property managers, municipalities, and businesses by providing expert tree care recommendations while growing your own book of business.

Compensation & Benefits:

Pay: $55,000 - $125,000 annually
Compensation Type
: Commission (earnings are uncapped)
Additional Compensation details: 100% commission position with estimated annual earnings of $55,000$125,000 based on performance. Sales Arborists are eligible for a monthly recoverable draw (negotiable).

Sales Arborist Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with residential, commercial, and municipal clients
  • Conduct on-site property inspections and evaluate tree health and safety
  • Diagnose tree and shrub health issues, pests, and diseases
  • Develop professional arboricultural recommendations following ANSI standards
  • Prepare accurate proposals and cost estimates for tree care services
  • Present recommendations and educate clients on safe, professional tree care
  • Partner closely with production crews to ensure successful project execution
  • Attend networking events and business development functions to generate new opportunities
  • Consistently achieve sales goals while delivering exceptional customer service

Sales Arborists Qualifications:

  • ISA Certified Arborist (or ability to obtain certification within 90 days)
  • 2+ years of arboriculture experience
  • Proven sales experience or strong customer relationship management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of tree identification, plant health care, pruning, removals, pest management, and diagnostics
  • Ability to prepare estimates and develop detailed client proposals
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Comfortable networking and developing new business opportunities
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Valid Illinois Driver's License with a safe driving record
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in an environmental or related field (preferred)
