Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain trusting, therapeutic relationships with patients, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for them to express their concerns.
• Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose and treat a range of mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, and relational issues affecting individuals and families.
• Create comprehensive, individualized treatment plans based on the specific needs, circumstances, and goals of each patient.
• Facilitate regular counseling sessions with clients, providing therapy methods appropriate for individuals and couples, and making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing evaluations.
• Implement evidence-based practices during therapy sessions, utilizing methodologies designed for treating substance abuse and co-occurring disorders whenever applicable.
• Monitor and document patient progress, conducting regular assessments to track improvements and modify treatment strategies as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams by referring clients to specialists when additional support is required, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the United States.
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Specialized training or experience in addiction counseling and understanding of evidence-based practices specifically for substance abuse.
• Strong background in various therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and family systems therapy.
