Responsibilities may involve researching destinations, arranging accommodations, and providing travel advice. Many remote travel jobs are commission-based or salary-plus-commission roles, often requiring experience in the travel industry or customer service.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in remote travel?

To thrive in a Remote Travel Agent or Consultant role, you need customer service expertise, sales acumen, knowledge of travel industry practices, and typically experience with booking systems or travel platforms. Familiarity with Global Distribution Systems (GDS), online booking engines, and relevant certifications like IATA or ASTA is highly valued.
