Job description

Summary

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by prospecting new customers and expanding business with existing accounts. This is a remote U.S.-based position. To support regional customer coverage and collaboration, applicants must be located in the Mountain or Pacific time zones.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage relationships with approximately 150 existing and potential Hyperion customers. Contacts customers via email and phone call to drive sales. Identify opportunities to grow revenue and profitability.
  • Analyzes prior product sales to customers and identifies opportunities. Collaborate with sales manager to develop a sales strategy.
  • Develop product knowledge to share with customers and respond to their questions.
  • Collaborates with segment manager on pricing, and terms. Closes the sale and follow up on payments.
  • Ensure customers pay in a timely manner.  Make follow-up calls regarding payments.
  • Develops pre-call planners, writes summary reports and enters in CRM. Utilizes CRM for customer communication and follow up.
  • Serves as liaison between customer and field sales reps.  Coordinates onsite visits or consultations with field sales when needed.  
  • Collaborate with customer service to ensure customer orders have been entered. Responds to concerns raised by customers about delivery times and invoicing.
  • Follows up with customers and escalates issues internally as needed.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure their satisfaction with Hyperion products and services.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly sales quotas
  • Attend sales meetings to understand company strategies and provide insight. 
Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience
  • High school diploma required; College degree preferred
  • 4-6 years of experience in technical sales in a manufacturing business to business environment
Technical Skills/Physical Requirements
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics or similar system a plus
  • Ability to navigate a complex organization and execute across multiple functions
  • Self-Starter and highly motivated
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Experience with CRM and industrial business-to-business products
  • Proven professionalism with the ability to use discretion and sound business judgment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • High attention to detail required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Travel - 4 times per year for internal meetings
