Description
POSITION SUMMARY: Executes, monitors, and tracks our customers' scheduled jobs and environments. Monitors defined Service Level Objectives to ensure that our customers are ready to serve their customers with accurate information. Assist in supporting computer operator team members in answering questions, resolving incidents, and / or providing further direction when determining next steps.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Executes and monitors job(s) and/or job groups
• Monitors and reports on network and system problems
• Monitors and reports on all application and system backups
• Monitors and reports on cloud service application alerts
• Ability to troubleshoot issues or assist in troubleshooting issues with the team and/or support
• Be part of the escalation process to assist in making decisions of next steps
• Create and track ServiceNow tickets for all monitored systems
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in documenting procedures, knowledge base articles, and other Operations documentation
• Represent computer operations in meetings for day-to-day operations
• Represent computer operations in project meetings where computer operations' needs to provide feedback or provide information
• Cross training on all shifts is a requirement to understand the other shifts and to run them with assistance when needed. A requirement to work the other shifts throughout the year to stay in touch with any changes in the schedules (at minimum work 2 days per shift).
• Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Requires an Associate degree
• Typically, 4+ years of experience in working in a "support" position or in a related field.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office 365.
• Must be able to work independently and assist in working through an issue including working with support to help resolve issues
• Must be a reliable and willing to work overtime including on weekends / holidays
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Ability to report to work in person and to attend work-related functions/activities.
• Ability to work at a desk and use a computer for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 10 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to occasionally travel as required.
• Ability to type and utilize various software programs efficiently and operate general office equipment.
• Ability to work in an office setting with moderate noise levels.
• Additional physical demands include, but may not be limited to, frequent talking or hearing, occasional push/pull, stoop/kneel, bend/twist, and reach to retrieve or move items in a typical office environment.
• Must be able to work scheduled hours and overtime as needed.
