Agency Producer, Video & Content Production

Collier Simon

Houston, TX • Remote

Full-time

Posted 26 days ago

Job description

Location: Houston, TX (or within commutable distance for regular day trips)

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

Collier.Simon is seeking a resourceful and highly creative Agency Producer to lead video and content production across our portfolio, with a heavy emphasis on clients in the automotive industry. This role is equal parts project manager, creative problem-solver, and hands-on maker. You will own production from concept through delivery—booking studios and talent, assembling lean crews, managing editorial workflows, and supporting a growing creator marketing program. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced agency environment, delivers polished work on lean budgets, and brings a sharp creative eye to everything they touch.

Core Responsibilities

Video Production Management

  • Lead end-to-end production of recurring on-screen talent shoots, including monthly green screen sessions with brand spokespeople
  • Plan and produce b-roll packages and aerial/drone footage shoots, coordinating small crews for maximum efficiency and quality
  • Book and manage studios, green screen facilities, locations, equipment rentals, and all production logistics
  • Develop and maintain production calendars to ensure consistent content delivery across accounts and campaigns

Talent & Crew Management

  • Source, vet, and hire freelance production crews—camera operators, gaffers, drone pilots, audio techs—on a project-by-project basis
  • Manage on-screen talent relationships, including contract negotiation, usage rights, scheduling, and renewals
  • Build and maintain a reliable bench of freelance editors and post-production specialists; assign and oversee their work as needed

Post-Production & Editorial

  • Oversee editorial workflows from rough cut through final delivery, ensuring brand standards and creative quality are met
  • Manage review-and-approval cycles with internal creative teams and client stakeholders
  • Traffic and organize assets, project files, and deliverables for efficient archival and repurposing

Creator Marketing & Influencer Content

  • Support and manage the agency’s creator marketing initiatives, including creator identification, outreach, and selection
  • Develop creative briefs and provide direction to creators who film independently, ensuring content aligns with brand guidelines and campaign objectives
  • Manage creator contracts, deliverables, timelines, and usage rights
  • Monitor creator content quality and provide constructive feedback to elevate output

Budget & Operations

  • Build and manage production budgets with a focus on delivering high production value at efficient cost
  • Negotiate vendor rates, talent fees, and facility costs
  • Track project expenses and reconcile against approved budgets
Qualifications

Required

  • 4–7+ years of experience in video production, ideally within an advertising agency, production company, or in-house creative team
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality content with minimal crews and modest budgets
  • Strong project management skills with experience running multiple productions simultaneously
  • Direct experience managing on-screen talent, including contracts, scheduling, and on-set direction
  • Working knowledge of post-production workflows, editorial pipelines, and asset management
  • Familiarity with creator/influencer marketing—comfortable managing creator relationships and directing remote productions
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Based in or near Houston, TX. This is a remote role, but this position will require the ability to be on-site for shoots and client meetings in Houston.

Preferred

  • Hands-on editing skills (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent)—candidates who can cut as well as produce are highly valued
  • Camera operation and cinematography experience; ability to step in as a shooter when needed
  • Experience with drone operation and/or aerial footage coordination
  • Background in automotive, retail, or franchise marketing
  • Existing network of freelance crew and editorial talent in the Houston market
What Sets You Apart

You’re the kind of producer who doesn’t just manage the work—you can do the work. A true Swiss Army knife who can pick up a camera, sit down in the edit suite, or step onto a set and make things happen. You have a refined aesthetic sensibility that elevates everything you produce, and you know how to stretch a budget without sacrificing quality. You’re equally comfortable directing talent on a green screen stage as you are briefing a creator over a video call. Above all, you bring taste, hustle, and an ownership mentality to every project.

About Collier.Simon

Collier.Simon is a full-service advertising agency with deep expertise in the automotive industry. Our clients include some of the most recognized names in automotive retail, and our work spans brand strategy, creative development, media, digital, and content production. We’re a team that values craft, creative ambition, and the kind of resourcefulness that turns smart ideas into exceptional work—regardless of budget size.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume, a link to your reel or portfolio, and a brief cover note describing your production philosophy and approach to lean, high-quality content creation.
