Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' histories and emotions, determining effective therapeutic approaches for each individual.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans centered on trauma recovery, resilience, and personal growth, adjusting them as needed based on patient progress.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, helping patients process their experiences, develop coping mechanisms, and nurture emotional well-being.
• Coordinate with psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, promoting integrated treatment plans.
• Offer crisis intervention services during trauma-related emergencies, providing immediate support to stabilize patients and guide them through challenges.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and effective coping strategies, fostering an understanding of the healing process.
• Document patient interactions and treatment progress accurately, ensuring full compliance with ethical and legal standards in mental health practice.
• Engage in continuous professional development by participating in relevant training sessions, case reviews, and team meetings focused on trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve primarily include individuals affected by various types of trauma, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. We provide a supportive space where patients can discuss their experiences and work towards healing in collaboration with a dedicated therapist who understands their unique challenges.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
• Adeptness in using electronic health records (EHR) and relevant software applications.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience, preferably within trauma-informed mental health settings.
• Experience in applying trauma-focused therapies and interventions that foster resilience and recovery.
• A proactive attitude and ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, promoting the best patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
