Touchstone Therapy Center is looking for a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in a remote capacity. In this full-time role, you will provide specialized mental health support to individuals affected by trauma, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic practices tailored to the unique needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patientsโ€™ trauma histories and collaboratively identify individualized treatment approaches.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental wellness.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions to help patients share experiences and foster a sense of community and mutual support.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to each patientโ€™s care.
  • Provide crisis intervention and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and stabilization.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses and effective coping strategies, empowering them to enhance their mental health.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with legal regulations and ethical standards.
  • Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities aimed at enhancing trauma-informed care practices.
  • Stay informed of the latest research and clinical practices related to trauma therapy to continually improve patient outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with trauma survivors, offering compassionate care tailored to their specific needs. This includes individuals dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and various dissociative disorders, all within a supportive and empathetic environment designed to promote healing and recovery.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Maryland.
  • A minimum of 2 years post-licensure experience, demonstrating your ability to apply therapeutic techniques effectively.
  • Solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and comprehensive knowledge of trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems is essential for documentation and patient management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, complemented by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
  • Ability to stay calm and composed in high-stress situations, providing steady support for patients.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a cohesive care delivery model.
Preferred Experience
