Work Environment

This role is fully remote, allowing our mental health therapist to work from their preferred location while maintaining a flexible schedule. The work hours primarily fall from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand clients' trauma histories and establish appropriate therapeutic approaches.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans that cater specifically to each patient’s path to trauma recovery and focus on resilience-building.
  • Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing in both individual and group settings.
  • Deliver both group and one-on-one therapy sessions, assisting clients in processing trauma and developing effective coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for every client.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that clients feel safe and supported.
  • Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources, fostering understanding and empowerment.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with all legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and ensuring compliance with best practices.
  • Engage actively in professional development by participating in case consultations and attending team meetings focused on trauma-informed care practices.
  • Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to ensure that you are providing the best possible care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The licensed therapist will work with a diverse range of clients who have experienced various forms of trauma, including survivors of abuse, domestic violence, and other significant life events. Our primary goal is to provide a safe space where patients can confront and process their experiences, while supporting their journey towards mental wellness.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LPC/MHSP, or LMFT in the state of Tennessee.
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience preferred, specifically in trauma therapy.
  • In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities is essential.
  • Proficient in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong capacity for compassion and a non-judgmental approach.
