This role is commonly used in fields such as healthcare, legal, business, and media to create written records of meetings, interviews, or medical notes. Remote transcriptionists typically need strong listening skills, attention to detail, and fast, accurate typing abilities. Many positions are freelance or contract-based, offering flexibility in work hours and location. Remote transcription jobs require speed and accuracy, with most employers insisting on at least a 98% accuracy rate when you transcribe content.
