You will serve as a CASUALTY PREPAREDNESS PROGRAM SPECIALIST in the ENVIRONMENT, SAFETY, & HEALTH DEPARTMENT of PSNS and IMF.

  • You will plan, schedule and participate in or conduct complex drills, assessments, and investigations to evaluate level of preparedness.
  • You will review PSNS and IMF casualty preparedness and drill program instructions and plans for adequacy with emphasis being placed on compliance with federal and NAVSEA requirements and recommendations.
  • You will provide ongoing input to the Code 106 drill program, maintaining records of evaluations, studies and surveillance results.
  • You will use written and oral communication skills to maintain various reports,.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
For GS-12:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector evaluating and coordinating radiological casualty preparedness and emergency response drills for a emergency management program.
For GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector monitoring effectiveness or coordinating management of radiological casualty responses for an emergency management program.
