About the Role

As an AI Senior Engineer, you’ll design, build, and deploy AI-powered products and services across the product platform. You’ll deliver production-grade transcript intelligence, scalable infrastructure, RAG-based search and retrieval, and attorney-facing AI features that support deposition preparation, real-time assistance, and post-deposition analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain AI-powered APIs for high-volume transcript ingestion, analysis, and structured output delivery
  • Develop transcript intelligence systems using deterministic processing, LLM-based analysis, and audio review
  • Build and optimize RAG pipelines, including document parsing, embeddings, vector storage, and retrieval strategies
  • Develop attorney-facing AI features for deposition preparation, real-time assistance, and post-deposition workflows
  • Contribute to platform consolidation, service integration, and internal workflow automation
  • Design, implement, and operate distributed systems using synchronous and asynchronous communication patterns
  • Debug and maintain services across Rails APIs, TypeScript services, and Google Cloud infrastructure
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership to define architecture, evaluate trade-offs, and deliver scalable solutions
  • Write, test, and deploy production code across the full software development lifecycle
  • Maintain observability across services, including logging, tracing, and error monitoring
  • Document technical decisions, track work clearly, and communicate progress and blockers effectively
What You’ll Need
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, and technical ownership skills
  • AI/ML: Demonstrated expertise in AI/ML application development, LLM integration, prompt engineering, evaluation, and AI-assisted development tools
  • RAG: Ability to build and maintain RAG systems, including document processing, embeddings, and retrieval optimization
  • Technical: Strong programming skills in Python and at least one of TypeScript or Ruby
  • Cloud: Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably Google Cloud Platform, including event-driven architectures
  • Architecture: Experience with distributed systems, microservices, API design, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure as code
  • Experience: 7+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend or full stack development
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Attributes: Collaborative, low-ego, team-first mindset with a commitment to documentation, testing, and continuous improvement. Must speak English fluently.
