Job description

Relocate to Northwest Connecticut's Litchfield Hills — Where Small-Town Charm Meets Big Career Opportunity

Imagine trading your commute for tree-lined drives through rolling hills, historic town greens, and four distinct seasons that turn this corner of New England into a postcard year-round. Nestled in the scenic Litchfield Hills region, this community offers the best of both worlds: a close-knit, small-town atmosphere with excellent schools, affordable housing compared to nearby metro areas, and easy access to lakes, hiking trails, and outdoor recreation, all within a couple of hours of New York City, Hartford, and Boston.

Make the move on your terms. The company covers relocation expenses in full, and to make the transition as smooth as possible, the selected candidate will have the option to work remotely for the first 30–60 days while settling in, getting acquainted with the team, and finding the right home before making the move official.

Who Thrives Here

This opportunity is a great fit for procurement professionals who are ready to trade the noise of a big-city market for more room to grow, both on the job and off it. You'll take on real ownership and visibility within two major Procurement Teams, working closely with plant leadership rather than getting lost in a large corporate structure. Outside of work, you'll trade long commutes and crowded weekends for more time back in your day, whether that means coaching your kid's soccer team, getting outdoors, or simply enjoying a slower pace without giving up career momentum. For candidates coming from a larger manufacturing hub, this is a chance to keep building a strong career while gaining space, affordability, and a genuine sense of community.

The company we represent is a well-known global provider of advanced engineered solutions. As a publicly traded entity, it has built an impressive 75-year legacy marked by continuous growth and innovation. Widely respected, this company is known for its outstanding corporate culture that encourages personal development and offers a wide array of opportunities. Forbes has recognized it as one of the top employers globally, emphasizing its dedication to excellence and diversity. With over $7 billion in revenue, this company continues to thrive in its industry.

What Sets This Opportunity Apart
  • Full relocation assistance, covering your move to the area
  • Flexible remote transition period (30–60 days) to ease the relocation
  • Comprehensive benefits starting Day 1, including medical, dental, and vision
  • 9% 401(k) dollar-for-dollar match, contributed each pay period
  • Robust training programs in a collaborative, development-focused culture
  • Free on-site fitness center membership
The Role

The selected candidate will support two major Procurement Teams in executing strategies that drive supply security, cost savings, process optimization, and supplier risk mitigation, all in service of keeping production on schedule while securing the best achievable value and maintaining full compliance with company procedures.

What You'll Do

Sourcing & Negotiation

  • Prepare RFQs and proposals based on Plant requirements; evaluate quotations and perform cost analyses weighing price, schedule, quality, and capability
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and lead times aligned with Plant goals

Purchase Order & Supplier Management

  • Place and maintain purchase orders, ensuring accurate pricing, charge codes, and vendor promise dates
  • Resolve invoice holds in coordination with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Reconcile shipping documentation with the Receiving department
  • Support new supplier onboarding and new item set-up

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Shipping, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Accounts Payable, and Facilities to resolve Plant issues promptly
  • Ensure procurement procedure compliance for quality and financial audits
  • Provide responsive, attentive support to overall business operations
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or Engineering
  • Eligibility for ITAR-controlled work (U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder)
  • 5+ years of experience in Procurement, Finance, or Supply Chain (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Oracle or a similar ERP system (preferred)
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort building metrics/reports from data (preferred)
  • Willingness to be a regular presence on the shop floor (preferred)
  • A customer-oriented, collaborative mindset (preferred)
