These roles may be independent or affiliated with companies, requiring strong analytical skills and risk management. Many remote traders use proprietary software, technical analysis, and economic data to maximize profits.

What are the typical daily responsibilities of a remote trade?

Professionals in Remote Trade roles spend their days monitoring global financial markets, executing buy/sell orders, and analyzing market trends using digital trading platforms. They often develop and implement trading strategies, manage risk exposure, and generate performance reports for stakeholders. Communication with clients, brokers, or internal teams is commonly done through online meetings and electronic correspondence. The role also requires staying updated on market news, regulatory changes, and economic developments to inform trading decisions. To thrive in a Remote Trade position, you need strong analytical abilities, financial acumen, and expertise in trade markets, typically supported by a degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Familiarity with trading platforms (such as E*TRADE, MetaTrader, or Bloomberg Terminal), risk management software, and relevant certifications (like FINRA Series 7) is important. Excellent communication, self-motivation, and adaptability are valuable soft skills for remote collaboration and managing market fluctuations. These combined skills are essential to make informed trade decisions, mitigate risks, and maintain effective remote communication with clients or teams.

This role is ideal for a polished, design-minded sales professional who understands the expectations of a luxury clientele and is comfortable working with homeowners, interior designers, architects, builders, developers, and hospitality professionals.

As a luxury outdoor furniture brand established in 1989, Teak Warehouse offers an extensive collection of high-end outdoor furniture for residential, trade, and hospitality projects. We are looking for someone who can represent the brand with confidence, professionalism, and a refined understanding of design while building lasting relationships and driving sales.

Responsibilities

  • Manage residential and trade sales from initial inquiry through order completion
  • Work directly with homeowners, interior designers, architects, builders, developers, and hospitality clients
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Dallas-area designers and trade professionals
  • Proactively conduct outreach to prospective residential and trade clients
  • Assist clients with furniture selections, layouts, materials, finishes, and product recommendations
  • Prepare quotes, follow up on active opportunities, and consistently move projects toward closing
  • Maintain an organized pipeline of leads, quotes, projects, and follow-ups
  • Develop a strong understanding of the Teak Warehouse collection, materials, construction, and customization capabilities
  • Provide an elevated, highly personalized experience reflective of a luxury furniture brand
  • Collaborate with our product, design, marketing, operations, and leadership teams
  • Represent Teak Warehouse at showroom appointments, designer meetings, events, and industry opportunities

Qualifications

  • Previous sales experience is required, preferably within luxury furniture, interior design, home furnishings, architecture, hospitality, or another high-end client-facing industry
  • Proven ability to develop relationships and close sales
  • Experience working with interior designers and trade professionals is strongly preferred
  • Sophisticated, polished, and professional client presence
  • Strong appreciation for interiors, architecture, furniture, and design
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident, personable, proactive, and comfortable initiating new relationships
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail
  • Comfortable managing multiple clients and projects simultaneously
  • Self-motivated and sales-driven with a desire to grow an existing book of business while developing new opportunities
  • Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with a team

Position Details

This is a full-time position based in Dallas, Texas, with a combination of in-person showroom work and remote flexibility. The position includes base compensation plus commission, creating significant earning potential for a motivated sales professional.

We are looking for someone who is not simply waiting for customers to walk through the door. The right person will be proactive about developing relationships, following up consistently, reaching out to the design community, and creating new sales opportunities.
