    Position Summaryย 

    This position supports tooling readiness through technical procurement, tooling spareย componentย management, and coordination of internal and external tooling repair activities. The role works closely with engineering, toolroom, and production teams toย maintainย tooling availability, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives.ย 

    Responsibilities include spareย componentย planning, toolroom workflow coordination, outsourced tooling repair management, and maintenance documentationย in the CMMS.ย 

    Key Responsibilitiesย 

    Tooling Engineering & Continuous Improvementย 

    • Provide technical support for tooling design modifications, repairs, andย componentย improvements.ย 
    • Support implementation of Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives to improve tooling performance, reliability, and maintainability.ย 
    • Assistย withย toolingย conversions and tooling standardization initiatives.ย 
    • Support troubleshooting of tooling issuesย impactingย production quality, uptime, or cycle efficiency.ย 
    • Collaborate with manufacturing engineering and toolroom personnel to improve tooling life and serviceability.ย 

    Tooling Availability & Production Supportย 

    • Ensure tooling readiness to support production schedules.ย 
    • Manage emergency tooling repair work orders to minimize production downtime.ย 
    • Coordinate internal toolroom repairs and external vendor repairs forย all requiredย tooling.ย 
    • Monitor tooling repair status andย communicateย progress toย required areas of the organization.ย 

    Spare Components & Inventory Managementย 

    • Maintain tooling spareย componentย inventory.ย 
    • Establish and manage critical spareย componentย lists for high-risk tooling systems.ย 
    • Develop spareย componentย replenishment plans to support production continuity.ย 
    • Coordinate internal manufacturing or external sourcing of toolingย andย spare components.ย

    Outsourced Tooling Repair Managementย 

    • Coordinate external suppliers forย tolling repairs, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement projects.ย 
    • Maintain outsource tracking,ย including:ย 
    • Work order statusย 
    • Vendor labor hoursย 
    • Repair timelines and completion status.ย 
    • Vendor quality and budgetary requirements are met.ย ย

    Maintenance Systems & Work Order Managementย
