Job description

Test Prep Tutor
Location: Remote, work-from-home position

Regularly work as few as 4 hours per week during afternoons and evenings. 


Compensation includes company 401(k) contributions and immediate vesting.


Responsibilities:

  • Meet with students in one-on-one virtual lessons
  • Coach students for standardized tests – most frequently SAT and ACT but also PSAT, SSAT, HSPT, ISEE, GMAT, GRE and AP Exams, including specific test content for all sections, pacing, and test-taking strategies
  • Communicate with parents and MLS team members as needed to provide lesson summaries, report progress, and address concerns
  • Submit lesson summaries in the client management system within 24 hours of each lesson


Qualifications:

  • Required to teach all sections of exams. 
  • Hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree. 
  • Experience as a classroom teacher is highly preferred.
  • 3 years experience tutoring the SAT and ACT in all sections with a proven track record of score improvement. 
  • Experience tutoring for the digital SAT and ACT.
  • Experience working with students with ADHD and testing accommodations is required. 
  • Experience tutoring PSAT, SSAT, HSPT, ISEE, GMAT, GRE and AP Exams is preferred but not required.
  • Must pass a diagnostic test.
  • Bonus qualifications: experience tutoring students with learning differences, STEM tutoring experience, weekend availability
