3.            Position Description and Job Skill Set

Description of the job functions the contractor will be expected to perform.

The National Strategic Planning & Analysis Research Center (NSPARC) at Mississippi State University invites applications for an Android Mobile Developer. The successful candidate provides assessment and programming support to the analytic staff in modeling, designing, developing, coding, maintaining, and testing of modern, data- intensive mobile applications.

Required Skills/Experience

Provide the minimum required skills and/or experience the contractor must possess to qualify for this position. These requirements will be transferred to the Score Sheet and candidates without these requirements reflected on their resume will

NOT be presented to the manager for consideration.

Acquire knowledge of programming procedures and standards. Design, code, and test application software, as well as modify existing software to reflect changes in functional requirements. Code efficiently while adhering to established programming standards. Prepare and maintain quality documentation to manage program development and revisions. Prepare instructions and user documentation for users / operators. Modify programs to increase operating efficiency. Prepare test data and validate software for accuracy. Perform other duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area.
