The Community Health Network is actively seeking a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations to create tailored treatment plans that align with each client's needs and goals.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions through telehealth means, catering to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • Utilize a range of therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy, adapting approaches based on client feedback and requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to facilitate holistic care that addresses the comprehensive needs of clients.
  • Maintain the integrity of clinical records, ensuring that documentation practices comply with ethical standards and legal regulations.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in mental health by attending relevant workshops and professional development opportunities, enhancing your practice and service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse clientele in need of counseling services for various mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and relationship issues. Our approach emphasizes inclusivity and respect for all clients, with a focus on empowering them to identify their strengths and capabilities. Counselors are encouraged to specialize in areas of interest, contributing to our mission of providing comprehensive and empathetic support.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey.
  • At least 2 years of experience providing counseling services, with a preference for candidates who have worked within clinical environments.
  • Strong understanding of ethical guidelines and legal regulations pertaining to counseling practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build rapport with clients from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills, displaying capacity to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and telehealth platforms to manage client information efficiently.
Preferred Experience

Specialization or experience in handling trauma cases, substance use disorders, family therapy, or couples counseling is highly desirable. Candidates with demonstrated success in improving patient outcomes through tailored therapeutic strategies will be prioritized.
