• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to evaluate the mental health status of clients, develop personalized treatment plans based on specific needs and diagnoses, and set therapeutic goals.
• Utilize both individual and group therapy modalities, employing evidence-based approaches while remaining culturally responsive to each client's background.
• Engage with clients regularly through scheduled sessions, providing ongoing support, education, and coping strategies to help them navigate their mental health challenges.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
• Document all client interactions and treatment progress accurately in the EHR, adhering to legal and ethical guidelines regarding confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Provide clients with referrals to additional resources and support services when necessary, helping to create a comprehensive care network for their wellness journey.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay updated on the latest best practices in mental health care.

Your work will directly impact individuals grappling with various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, trauma-related conditions, and eating disorders. These clients often come from diverse cultural backgrounds, requiring a deep understanding of cultural competence and an empathetic approach to therapy. Your ability to create a safe, supportive environment will facilitate open communication and foster a therapeutic alliance, essential for effective treatment.

• A master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.
• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience, providing counseling services to a diverse clientele.
• A robust understanding of mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and a commitment to using evidence-based practices.
• Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly the ability to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications for client management.
• A commitment to ethical guidelines and maintaining client confidentiality.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

• Experience in providing therapy in both individual and group settings, using culturally responsive approaches.

• Demonstrated capability to handle crisis situations effectively.
• Previous experience working within community health settings is a plus.
