Job description

The Program Manager will be responsible for managing large technology implementation projects that contain multiple sub-projects within an overall program. These programs will have a high degree of complexity, are often on a global scale, and can contain multiple technology components.  This individual will also be responsible for working closely with the Apps Associates' PMO on internal initiatives to grow the Practice. This position reports to the Practice Director within the Apps Associates PMO.

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with client contacts managing cross-functional client project team members to facilitate project delivery      
  • Ensure the delivery of programs through the following phases: Concept, Requirements Definition, Design, Build, Test, and Deployment
  • Collaborate with Apps Associates project team members, who are both onshore and offshore to successfully deliver projects
  • Manage the execution of the project's activities and resources in partnership with the division technical leads and business partners
  • Lead project teams through scoping definition and ensure all execution efforts align to project goals
  • Lead the establishment of measurable and achievable critical success factors for the project
  • Control planning and execution to ensure that cost, time, and quality goals are met
  • Develop and maintain project plans and related project artifacts and provide view of plans and progress to date
  • Manage against the approved budget and recommend course correction as necessary.
  • Conduct periodic stakeholder meetings to ensure status clarity and clear expectations
  • Adhere to the Apps Associates project management methodology
  • Possesses the ability to turn troubled projects around when and if needed
  • Make continuous improvement a priority - The Program Director should have a solid grasp of basic and many advanced project management principles, along with having experience in successfully applying and advancing those principles.
  • Support Apps Associates sales team with the development support of new sales opportunities and/or support changes to existing scope utilizing internal change control processes

Travel Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% if needed

Work Requirements

  • Remote work approved with on-site/customer facing work required periodically depending on project phase and/or customer requirements
  • For remote work, associate must have a dedicated space to conduct/attend meetings and perform job duties

Required Qualifications:

  • Education and years of experience: BS/BBA 16-18, MS/MBA 14+ 
  • 5+ years of Program Management experience with programs of $7M+ in annual revenue 
  • 10+ years of consulting experience, most recently in a Senior Project Manager, Program Manager, or similar level role
  • Leadership of a minimum of twelve (12) full life-cycle implementations in the Senior Project Manager or Program Manager role
  • Global/multi-product implementation experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management, organization, and collaboration skills 
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet (preferred), Jira (preferred)
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of business productivity tools (for example: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, One Note, Teams)
  • Strong understanding of the cloud software development lifecycle including waterfall, agile and hybrid methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-pillar, multi-project programs
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with C-Suite Stakeholders
  • Effectively manages engagement risks and escalates appropriately 

Project Management/Technology Experience Requirements:

The Program Manager must have project management and/or hands on experience with at least three (3) of the following technologies:

  • Oracle Cloud ERP (Fusion, SCM, Financials, HCM, or equivalent)
    • Oracle EBS
    • Amazon AWS
    • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
    • Custom Software Development (with the Enterprise space)
    • Integration technologies such Boomi, Mulesoft, Oracle Cloud Integration Service or equivalent
    • Analytics technologies such as SnowFlake, Hyperion, Oracle Analytics Cloud or equivalent
    • Salesforce implementation experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP Certification (PMP, PGMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP)
  • Oracle Cloud Project Management Professional
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
  • MBA or Higher Education Level
